Friends

My college friend Marcelle lives in Eugene with her husband and baby. They come to Portland once a month. Yeah! We got to hang out together for the better part of an afternoon recently.

Marcelle was a steadfast friend in College--faithful, consistant, generally more well balanced than the angst-ridden folks around her. No wonder I was attracted to her friendship! I also saved her life...sort of. We swam together in the mornings. One day after our swim she fainted and gashed her head in the women's change room. I hepled out. I remember her comming to and, seeing the blood on my shirt, being very concerned. "Allison, you're bleeding!" Little did she know she herself was the wounded! So--saved her life.

I love re-connecting with friends! I love friends!

Spunky? Moi?!

I have garnered a bold/nutty woman reputation in the homeschooling group by virtue of sending out an email with the subject "LICE!" Actually, I connected with some Moms at coffee and doughnuts thanks to lice story sharing. . .funny how what was a stressful experience brings me closer to having a friends. It all works to the good--even lice!
